FCA is an outpatient placement center for a number of institutions, including Ball State University, Christian Theological Seminary and Indiana Wesleyan University. As such we have Graduate Students who are able to provide counseling services at a reduced fee under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.

Eric Daughterty, MA

Eric serves with Family Counseling Associates in several capacities. As Vice-President, he provides a well-rounded leadership to the organization, overseeing all matters of business and operation. With a rich background in Business, Eric offers his services as a Life and Executive Coach. He is also completing his Residency hours toward licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist.

Fran Simmons, MA

Fran comes to FCA as a recent graduate of the Indiana Wesleyan University Graduate Program in Marriage and Family Therapy. Her experience in working with White's Family Services makes her ideal in working with younger teens and families going through transitional stresses. Fran provides individual, adolescent, couples and family therapy for clients.

Curtis Trent, MA

I completed my Masters-level training in Counseling Psychology on the west coast and have returned to central Indiana to be near family and friends, and to set down roots for my vocation as a Professional Counselor. My counseling focuses on persons with the following needs: Pre-Marital and Couples Counseling, Depression and Anxiety, Chemical Dependency and other Compulsive Behaviors, Men's Sexuality, Stress and Life Transitions, and Adolescents and Families. In addition to my areas of focus, I regularly consult with Supervisors and other Mental Health Professionals to ensure your needs are met in the most effective way. My approach to counseling can best be described as narrative and interpersonal. I believe the "Stories" of our lives have a profound effect upon the way we perceive and interact with the world around us, and sometimes it is necessary to find new meaning for our experiences and to create different outcomes. Additionally, these experiences almost always shape our relationships with others, so I consider interpersonal relationships to be an important part of the counseling focus. Our relationship as Counselor and Client is important too, as we will collaborate on strategies for the changes that you desire, whether cognitive, behavioral, emotional, interpersonal and/or Spiritual.
