Sometimes more is needed than counseling and talk therapy can address. This may include medication. FCA is pleased to have two Psychiatrists to provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments for our clients in order to determine if medication might play a part in their treatment. Dr. Abram and Dr. Cecil can also manage medication throughout the course of treatment.
Jill Abram, M.D.
Dr. Abram is a Psychiatrist, Board Certified in Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry. She offers medical psychiatric assessment and treatment services to children, adolescents and adults. Her specialization includes ADD/ADHD and other developmental disorders. Along with our therapists, Dr. Abram offers a full spectrum of treatment services for children and adolescents.
Judith Cecil, M.D.
I am a board certified Psychiatrist (I attended medical school at the University of Glasgow, Scotland and completed my psychiatric residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine). I have been a member of the medical staff of Community Hospital in Indianapolis since 1989 and have experience treating a broad spectrum of adult psychiatric disorders. My role as a medical provider at FCA is to determine if, when and how medication should be considered. While rarely used in isolation without counseling, medication can play a critical role in the treatment of many psychiatric disorders. My areas of special interest include the treatment of adult depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and ADHD. I embrace the integration of the spiritual-biopsychosocial model of psychiatry.
